Prof. Kay Hameyer is a Doctor Honoris Causa of the PUT

The new honorary doctor of the Poznan University of Technology is a scientist known and recognized all over the world. He is constantly invited to deliver lectures at many prestigious universities worldwide. Prof. Kay Hameyer was born on June 20, 1958, in Hanover. After graduating from secondary school, and completing military service followed by an industrial internship, he started studies at the University of Hanover in the field of electrical engineering.

During his studies, which he graduated at the beginning of 1986, he focused on issues related to the construction and modern design of electric machines and drives. Continuing his interest in this subject, he joined a selected team of 20 experts at the BOSCH development centre in Schwieberdingen, near Stuttgart, right after graduation.

The team was searching for innovative technical solutions in electrical engineering, to introduce them to products manufactured by BOSCH. It should be emphasized that at that time it was a scientific and technical unit unique in the world. The team reported directly to the chairmen of the management board of Robert BOSCH GmbH.

The ceremony of awarding the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to prof. Kay Hameyer was held at the Aula Magna Lecture Center. The photo report of the event is available HERE.
