The course aims to increase students' knowledge of global issues from an interdisciplinary perspective.

The meeting was organized by the University of Cantabria and it was the first face-to-face event that allowed for the exchange of experiences and knowledge between universities in the context of creating a global online course. The Poznan University of Technology was represented by the Vice-Dean, prof. Marlena Kucz, and prof.. Katarzyna Rzeszut, (Director of the Institute of Construction and leader of the Work Package no. 2 under the EUNICE project on issues related to education).

In the spirit of the values promoted by the EUNICE European University - including multiculturalism and openness - MOOC "Introduction to Global Studies" will be available without restrictions to students from all over the world, regardless of the field of study.

The course will allow students to get used to the issues and challenges of globalism in terms of culture, economy, law, politics and society. Issues such as cultural diversity, migration, technology and many other challenges facing the global community today will be analyzed. Its start is scheduled for the academic year 2022-2023.
