Our Colleagues: Margaret Jasiulewicz-Kaczmarek, Ph.D., Eng. and Beata Mrugalska Ph.D., Eng. are co-founders of the success of Poznan University of Technology, which is the award in ELSEVIER Research Impact Leaders Awards 2016 in the field of Medical Sciences.

 


The intention of Elsevier Awards, given in six disciplines (included in the classifications of OECD), is to identify and distinguish these universities of which the latest scientific works and publications have the greatest impact on the visibility of Polish science in the world. Rewarding these universities Elsevier promotes the high quality of research and the need to increase their level of internationalization.

 The reference lists 10 authors with the highest citation, showing the impact of the publication concerning authors.

 

 

UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR MAGDALENA WYRWICKA, PH.D., D.SC., ENG., AWARDED THE SILVER MEDAL "LABOR OMNIA VINCIT"

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Management of Poznan University of Technology Magdalena Wyrwicka, university professor, Ph.D., D.Sc., Eng., was awarded the Silver Medal "Labor Omnia Vincit" as a personality who distinguishes herself by professionalism in professional activities, promoting the idea of organic work and charitable activities. The ceremony of awarding took place on 28 April 2016 in the Lubrański Hall of Adam Mickiewicz University.

State Professor Stefan Trzcieliński, Ph.D., D.Sc., Eng. became a member of the Science Committee of Organization and Management of the Polish Academy of Sciences.


On 21 April 2016 the Science Committee of Organization and Management of the Polish Academy of Sciences unanimously adopted a resolution to supplement the composition of the members of the Science Committee and decided to choose State Professor Stefan Trzcieliński, Ph.D., D.Sc., Eng.  Thus, he is one of the 3 engineers representing the Sciences of Organization and Management in the Committee including 46 members. The Science Committee consists of representatives from 22 Polish universities. Poznan University of Technology, represented by Professor Stefan Trzcieliński, is among them one of the 4 technical universities (Czestochowa University of Technology, Lublin University of Technology, Lodz University of Technology, Poznan University of Technology).

The divisions of the Polish Academy of Sciences include science committees which are the self-governing representations of a scientific discipline or related scientific disciplines and contribute to the integration of the scholars all over the country. Management sciences are a part of the Division I: Humanities and Social Sciences (Polish Academy of Sciences).

The representation of Management Sciences is the Science Committee of Organization and Management of the Polish Academy of Sciences which has been functioning since 1969. The mission of that Science Committee is to stimulate the development of management sciences  in Poland, to promote the achievements in the field of management and their authors in scientific and economic environments.

The membership of the Science Committee of Organization and Management of the Polish Academy of Sciences has been granted to Professor Stefan Trzcieliński  in recognition of his scientific and organizational achievements and the position of the Faculty of Engineering Management of Poznan University of Technology. 

 

 

 

SPEECH BY EWA WIĘCEK-JANKI, PH.D., D.SC., ENG. AT THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT

 

On 14 October 2015 at the European Parliament, during a seminar on the regulations for family entrepreneurship in the EU, Ewa Więcek-Janka, Ph.D., D.Sc., Eng. from the Chair of Marketing and Economic Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering Management of Poznan University of Technology presented the results of her research on the market of family businesses in Poland. The author pointed to the Polish phenomenon "tsunami" of succession. That phenomenon has not been the case in the history of any European countries so far, and its effects may have the influence on the economic and social stability of both Poland and Europe.

 

 

 

On 18-19 January 2012 at the Faculty of Management was held the certification audit of Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001: 2008 standard.

The certification was conducted successfully.The Faculty of Engineering Management received a certification of Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001: 2008 standard in the range of the students' education of the full-time and part-time studies, of the first- and second-cycle studies, as well as the doctoral and postgraduate studies.

During an international conference concerning research in the field of production engineering - 21 ICPR International Conference on Production Research which was held in Stuttgart (Germany), Marek Fertsch, university professor, Ph.D, D.Sc., was elected a member of the Board of the International Foundation for Production Research. This association brings together the leading scientists from dozens of countries of both Americas, Asia, Oceania and Europe. For over 30 years it has been one of the largest organizations that has been promoting and stimulating the research in the field of production engineering and logistics. Professor Marek Fertsch is the only scientist from Central and Eastern Europe, who in recognition of scientific achievements in the field of production management has been awarded and chosen for a member of the Board IFPR.

 

 

 

 

 

On 8th September 2010 in Rzeszów during the Innovation Forum of the XX Economic Forum a project Foresight Wielkopolska Economic Networksscreenplays of knowledge transformation supporting innovative business conducted in Poznań University of Technology was awarded.

 

 

The Advisory Council of the Economic Forum and the editorial staff of “Polish Market” awarded it as the best innovative project within confines of the Business Innovation Award competition.

 

 

The diploma was handed in to the supervisor of this project – University Professor Magdalena Wyrwicka, Ph.D, D.Sc., Eng., Vice Dean for Science Affairs at the Faculty of Engineering Management in Poznań University of Technology, by the President of the Board, the Editor-in-Chief of Polish Market Krystyna Woźniak-Trzosek and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Waldemar Pawlak.
