INTERNATIONAL DAYS OF COMPETENCES FOR THE FUTURE

 

 

International Days of Competences for the Future is an international event that will take place from March 12 to March 14, 2018 at Poznan University of Technology.

In the Lecture Center located at #2 Piotrowo Street  as a part of the "International Days of Competences for the Future", workshops for entrepreneurs and scientists, an open lecture and an international conference will be organized.

 

 

On the first day there will be workshops with key companies, which form the Wielkopolska Educational and Economic Network as part of the “Time for Professionals BIS –  Professional Wielkopolska”project. - The interest in the workshops is very large - says Phd. Eng. Maciej Szafrański, an employee of the Faculty of Management Engineering at the Poznan University of Technology - We are happy that there will be another opportunity to meet and work together. Such meetings are always very fruitful and well received by entrepreneurs. - he adds.

 

The workshop will include representatives of such companies as: MAHLE Behr Ostrów Wielkopolski Sp. z o.o., Schaltbau RAWAG, Bolsius Polska Sp. z o.o., Sivantos Sp. z o.o., Colian Sp. z o.o. - Cooperation with companies from Wielkopolska is extremely important to us - says Phd. Eng. Magdalena Graczyk - Kucharska, an employee of the Faculty of Management Engineering at the Poznan University of Technology - Only in this way can we receive up-to-date information on the need for specific competences and adapt the curriculum to it.

 

On the same day, Professor Scott Erickson from School of Business, Ithaca College, NY will give his lecture on "Organizational learning and knowledge management in the age of big data". The lecture will be in English and will be open to everyone. - With Professor Scott Erickson 'we met during a conference in Barcelona – says Phd. Eng. Marek Goliński, an employee of the Faculty of Management Engineering at the Poznan University of Technology - Together with Magda and Maciej, we decided to invite him to the IDCF, because we have common interests. - he adds.

 

We invite all interested parties to Hall number 7 in the Poznań University of Technology Lecture Center at Piotrowo 2. A meeting with an American scientist will start at 3:00PM.

 

During the second day, scientists from many countries (Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland, Ukraine, USA, Congo, France and Poland) will have their speeches related to both the name of the entire event and the first international scientific conference "Competences in the Age of Smart World". - These meetings will mostly be covered live on Facebook of one of the projects (www.facebook.com/AccTraCom/), which is implemented by the Poznan University of Technology. “The acceleration method of development of transversal competences in the students’ practical training process", which was launched under the Erasmus + program and aims to develop and implement an innovative method to support the acceleration of the development of cross-cutting competences of students by improving the use of practical education.

The event is organized by the Poznan University of Technology and the Faculty of Management Engineering at the Poznan University of Technology. The event was under the honorary patronage of Mr. Marek Woźniak - Marshal of the Wielkopolska Region, Jacek Jaśkowiak - President of Poznań, prof. dr hab. Eng. Tomasz Łodygowski - Rector of Poznan University of Technology. The "Competences in the Age of a Smart Wordl" conference was additionally covered by the Honorary Patronage of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
